Living labs Training: build your action plan at a hands-on training in Dublin

Cleverfood
Dublin, Ireland

Living labs, food partnerships and food initiatives working to change their local food environment are invited to a two-day in-person training in Dublin, 25–26 November 2026, hosted by the CLEVERFOOD project. Applications close on 22 September 2026.

When: 25 November 2026
Where: Explorium – National Sport & Science Centre. Blackglen Road, Sandyford, Dublin 18, Ireland
Format: in–person

Participants will work through a backcasting exercise: starting from the future they want for their city or city-region and working backwards to identify the actions needed in different time frames, and the stakeholders to involve at each stage. The sessions are facilitated by engagement experts from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and each participant leaves with an action plan for their own living lab.

The training takes place as part of the Food2030 Engagement Conference in Dublin, 25–26 November 2026.

How to apply

Apply by 22 September 2026 by completing the online registration form.

Why join

  • Leave with an action plan for your living lab, developed through a facilitated backcasting exercise led by engagement experts from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
  • Compare strategies with other living labs working on sustainable food systems across Europe, and take away approaches that have worked for them.
  • Take part in the wider Food2030 Engagement Conference: two days with food system professionals, policymakers and NGOs, and workshops on food system transformation.

Who it is for

Living labs, food partnerships and food initiatives that want to define specific actions, across different time frames, to support the transformation of their local food environment. Applicants should be in a position to take the resulting action plan forward in their own city or city-region.
