FEAST Announces 2026 summer school to lead the way in a sustainable food future through systems-thinking activities

FEAST
Ludwigsburg, Germany

The FEAST Summer School returns to Ludwigsburg, Germany, from 31 August to 3 September 2026 for four days of interdisciplinary learning focused on urban food systems, sustainability and healthier futures.

Hosted at Karlshöhe Ludwigsburg, the Summer School brings together advanced students, early-career researchers and professionals working across food systems, sustainability, health, agriculture, policy and urban transformation.

Through expert-led sessions, collaborative workshops and applied activities, participants will explore how food systems connect health, sustainability, agriculture, policy and everyday life. Working across perspectives from policy, primary production and system modelling, participants will investigate real-world food-system challenges and explore how different interventions may shape future outcomes.

The programme is practical, participatory and collaborative where participants will work in interdisciplinary groups and, engage in systems-thinking activities.
By the end of the Summer School, participants will have developed a stronger food systems perspective, practical interdisciplinary experience and a network of peers and experts committed to a more just, healthy and sustainable food future.
