The EU-funded FoSSNet project (Food Systems Science Networks) aims at establishing a permanent pan-European academic network dedicated to Food System Science, advancing inter- and transdisciplinary studies on Food System Science and education.
Core activities
FoSSNet’s main activities will be:
- Formulating a conceptual framework for developing food system transformation pathways, fostering a common language among food system thinkers.
- Bringing together European food systems scientists and science institutions.
- Enhancing inclusivity within the Knowledge and Innovation system
- Collaborating on research for sustainable food system transformation and dismantling existing barriers to interdisciplinary collaboration in food system science.
- Building food systems capability through an academy and curricula, ensuring the lasting impact of future food system thinkers.
- Generating scientific, economic, and societal impact.
